The Grateful Undead
The Grateful Undead supports aging in place by promoting knowledge and organizing services and activities that enable residents of the Sacopee Valley and surrounding towns in southwestern Maine to continue to live in our own homes and community safely, independently, and comfortably as we age.
Mt. Cutler
Two parks provide about five miles of trails and 200 acres of lands always assured to be available for public use for hiking, hunting, nature study, and magnificent views.
Saco River Corridor Commission
The Saco River Corridor Commission is committed to protecting public health and safety and the quality of life for the state of Maine. The commission regulates land and water uses, protects and conserves the region’s unique and exceptional natural resources, and prevents the detrimental impacts of incompatible development. The commission was established in 1973.
Francis Small Heritage Trust
The Francis Small Heritage Trust is a private, not-for-profit conservation land trust that was founded in 1990. We obtain land and easements for public access and traditional uses such as hiking, hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiles on existing trails. The Trust owns 1472 acres and holds easements on an additional 308 acres. The Trust holds land in northern York County, southern Oxford County and western Cumberland County in Maine. The Trust also sponsors educational programs where school groups can explore beaver dams, old foundations, natural areas, and hiking trails.

The Maine State Library helps people, makes Maine libraries stronger and transforms information into knowledge.
Bendable Maine
Bendable is an offering of the Drucker Institute, a nonprofit social enterprise based at Claremont Graduate University. The Drucker Institute partnered with the Maine State Library in 2021 to bring Bendable to Mainers. Because Bendable is being offered through the public library, the vast majority of learning resources featured on the system are free to local residents.
Digital Maine Library
The Digital Maine Library provides every resident of Maine with access to online resources that include a collection of full text articles and abstracts from magazines, newspapers, journals and reference. It also provides students, business people, public library patrons, and higher education students and educators the ability to use online learning tools.

Faces of Founders: Hiram, Maine book

Stories are both unique to Hiram and universal, some of which are told in Faces of Founders: Hiram, Maine for the first time. Written by Sally Williams, board member of HCC, president of Hiram Historical Society, and town historian of Hiram, Maine.
